The Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) has launched its new ESSA Classifieds section, 24 June.
As part of the ESSA website, it offers information on specific products and services created by members that support events and exhibitions, to operate within the framework of government and sector Covid-19 guidance.
ESSA’s director, Andrew Harrison (pictured), said: “Based upon the four pillars of the proposed guidance, developed by the Association of Event organisers (AEO), Association of Event Venues, (AEV) and ESSA and currently under government review, the directory specifically lists services that are connected to helping the event industry get through the current prevailing conditions and relaunch when it is released from lockdown.”
ESSA and its members have been heavily involved in creating guidance for the safe return of the events industry and the listings are arranged under headings that form the cornerstones of the guidance proposals, they are guidelines, social distancing, cleaning/hygiene, protect and detect, and communication.
“This is an example of our commitment to spearheading a safe return for events. It underpins the whole ethos of ESSA membership and the importance of continuing to commit to using their services during these unprecedented times. We are still seeking a date from which we can start opening up the industry and we will continue to lobby for more support for ESSA members, who will be crucial if we are to see a strong events and exhibitions sector in 2021,” Harrison added.
