The International Federation of Exhibition and Event Services (IFES) will hold its 2026 World Summit in Dubai.

It will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) over three days. The summit follows the 2025 edition in Guadalajara, Mexico.

The theme will be “Beyond Boundaries”. Sessions will focus on the usual key topics – technology, sustainability, design and client delivery. Meanwhile, workshops and panels will be shaped by member priorities and current operational challenges.

Why Dubai?

IFES executive director Gregor Bischkopf said that the decision to choose Dubai was based on the city’s role “as a crossroads between East and West”. Of course, the city is a fast-growing player in the exhibition world. In 2024, DWTC reported a 7% growth rate in attendees and a 32% YoY increase in large-scale events hosted.

Dubai’s transport links, hotel capacity and established exhibition calendar were also cited by organisers as practical reasons for selecting the city.

The region has, in general, seen rapid growth and increased international organiser activity, which is prompting many suppliers and contractors to build regional delivery capacity.

The summit is open to IFES members and non-members.

The programme will include workshops, keynote sessions and networking events.
Informal meetings and social activities will run alongside formal content.

“Our 2025 attendees left Guadalajara energised and grateful for the connections and insights shared there and now can look ahead to Dubai 2026,” says Jörg Zeissig, president, IFES.

Early bird registration is open until 14 February. Members aged 35 and under receive a 50% discount.
