The Association of Event Organisers (AEO) has partnered with uptakeAI to provide AI training for event professionals.
The initiative was launched at the AEO Forums 2026, held at the Business Design Centre, London.
AEO said the year-long partnership aims to give event organisers practical, role-specific support to explore how AI can enhance their work while maintaining human judgement in event delivery.
uptakeAI began the programme by delivering live training sessions in the sales and operations streams at the AEO Forums on 30 January. Sessions focused on building confidence using AI tools in realistic scenarios that reflect daily event management tasks.
Throughout 2026, AEO members will have access to a structured AI training programme, including half-day workshops, editorial content, and case studies based on real event scenarios.
The programme is supported by SUSY, uptakeAI’s AI learning and capability-building platform, which allows event professionals to apply AI directly to tasks across operations, marketing, sales, and leadership. The platform also embeds ethical and responsible AI principles and does not require technical expertise.
Anna Golden, CEO of the Association of Event Organisers, said: “Our members have been clear that what they want is practical support that reflects the reality of running events. uptakeAI understands the pressures organisers are under and brings a grounded, thoughtful approach to AI training.”
Lucy Pitt, co-founder & head of client services at uptakeAI, said: “Through our work with organisations across multiple industries, we’ve seen that one of the biggest challenges isn’t experimenting with AI – it’s scaling responsible and effective use in a way that genuinely supports people’s day-to-day work. That’s exactly why we developed SUSY: to make sure AI empowers event professionals, rather than overwhelming them, as the industry continues to evolve.”
