Pure London hosts the future of fashion at July trade show

by Stuart Wood

Fashion exhibition Pure London has announced today that it will collaborate with Graduate Fashion Week for its event this weekend on the 22– 24 July.

Pure London is a trade fashion buying event representing womenswear, menswear, footwear, accessories and young fashion.

The show offers buyers from UK and international fashion outlets the opportunity to discover collections launching for the season ahead, as well as attend seminars and workshops.

They will be hosting some of London’s most exciting up and coming talent, including Aurelie Fontan, who was the winner of the M&S Womenswear Award, the Catwalk Textiles Award, and the Dame Vivienne Westwood Sustainable & Ethical Award.

Fontan uses an alternative seaming method that allows different fabrics (wool, Modal, cork) to be separated when recycled. The range also includes bio-textiles, in the form of a grown fabric that is 100% biodegradable and put together with soluble cable ties made from corn starch.

Also in attendance will be Marta Kazmierczak, Louise Clark, Hannah Gibbins, Fraser Miller, and Jacaranda Brain. All have won awards in the fashion industry, such as the Visionary Knitwear Award and George’s Catwalk to Store Award.

Martyn Roberts, managing director of Graduate Fashion Week, said: “This year’s Graduate Fashion Week Top 25 collections were incredible and heartening for the future of fashion and creative design talent.

“We are delighted to be giving these amazing graduates the chance to showcase their work at Pure London in front of the UK’s leading buyers and fashion industry experts.”
