The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are to visit The Edible Garden Show when it opens at Alexandra Palace on 28 March.
The royal couple are due to tour the exhibition dedicated to growing your own fruit and vegetables and encouraging healthy eating, and will meet young people who have been taking part in a national schools’ initiative to design a ‘dream edible garden‘.
The Edible Garden Show has also revealed its line-up of celebrity guests, including TV presenter James Wong, TV chef Phil Vickery, BBC’s The One Show gardening expert Christine Walkden and author Naomi Schillinger who has written a best-selling book with tips for growing your own in small spaces.
Coinciding with the royal visit on the opening day, BBC Radio 4’s Gardeners’ Question Time programme will be recorded at Alexandra Palace and include special features from The Edible Garden Show.
Show features will include the Experts Theatre, Cookery Theatre and The Potting Shed, an interactive area for talks and demonstrations.

Around 150 exhibitors are expected at the show running until 30 March.
