Spending review gives Birmingham Metro extension the go ahead26th October 2010 | published by EW SHARE
Birmingham’s planned £130m transportation project has been saved from Chancellor George Osborne’s spending cuts after his Comprehensive Spending Review last week.
The project will see the city centre’s Midland Metro tram extend to connect Snow Hill to New Street with a second phase aimed at connecting Birmingham Airport and the National Exhibition Centre (NEC).
