As The PA Show marks its 10th year since its early days as Office*, organisers Mash Media celebrate the appointment of two new leaders to take the show to the next level in supporting the community over the next 10 years.
Mash Media is delighted to welcome Sam Cande to the business as the new event director of The PA Show and Alex Jones as the new global marketing director.
Working most recently as head of partnerships at Times Higher Education, Sam has enjoyed a long and successful career trajectory in the exhibition industry which began with her term at UBM and includes a role at Centaur Media Plc as Group Commercial Director for the Business Travel Show, Business Travel iQ and Travel Technology Europe.
Alex Jones began her events career for Informa Markets in Dubai and went on to become the Global Marketing Director for the fastest growing events industry organisation, CloserStill, overseeing marketing across Europe and America.
Liz Agostini, portfolio director for International Confex, Conference News and The PA Show said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Sam and Alex to the Mash family. As the only show of scale in the UK for PAs, EAs and VAs, The PA Show is a sleeping giant and with both Sam and Alex’s wide ranging exhibition experience overall as well as the knowledge and relationships Sam brings in PA relevant sectors, this is a hugely exciting time for the evolution of the show. We’re really looking forward to delivering a fantastic experience for our visitors, exhibitors and speakers in May 2021.”
Marketing director, Alex Jones, added: “Sam’s and my path crossed when we both worked together at UBM in 2010, so we already have a great working relationship and we are both dedicated and committed to making The PA Show the annual mecca for every PA, VA, EA and office manager in the UK. This community is absolutely wonderful and we’re honoured to serve it and work has already began in building our new community hub and a series of webinars with our key partners, Today’s PA and Executive Secretary.”
Sam Cande concluded: “I am thrilled to be working at Mash Media and after 20 years in the exhibitions industry it’s great to be around people I have known for many years and who are leaders in the exhibitions and events industry. The PA show appealed to me so much and I whole heartedly believe there is an the opportunity to grow the event. So many friends of mine work in this sector and I know I can help to deliver a show that serves the industry well.”
