The benefits of taking risks will help organisers find content “worth tweeting about.”
That was the message from Mash Media MD Julian Agostini, who told the audience on the opening day of International Confex: “You have to take risks in order to win over your customers and clients, and offer more compelling content. At least you’ll remember that when you walk away from the show.”
He said social media is a fundamental help to events, in order to create a successful event.
Agostini also debated about the volume of choice at events, and said the more choice we have, the less choices we make.
“You need to find out what you want, what your customers and clients want and find out what interests them. You won’t get anywhere in this industry if you don’t love what you do. You have to love your event.”
The show at Olympia London concludes tomorrow (13 March).
