Since getting full planning permission for the £1bn transformation, the historic London landmark, is launching a new series of roundtables titled Shape the Future.
Gathering top experts from across sustainability, technology, trends and customer experience, Olympia London is investing in the series, where organisers and industry peers can share experiences, and expectations guided by specialist mediators.
The first round of the series focuses on trends, and will bring award-winning global strategy consultancy Clear M&C Saatchi to explain key consumer trends for the near future, and beyond.
Clear, creative director, Stephen Haggarty said: “Consumer trends are crucial because they may inform which type of visitor Olympia London target and how they speak to them. At Clear when we talk about trends, we talk about different levels of trends being understood in terms of climate, and weather.
“The specific examples of a new trend we observe day to day – like new types of building designed with sustainability in mind – can be likened to weather. They come and go, but can be indicative of a wider trend. Deep and far reaching forces for change – like the wave of initiatives seeking to protect and re-vitalize what we have and have lost – could be likened to climate. They represent more enduring changes that we should understand and plan for.”
