The National Pet Show, an annual consumer general pet show in the UK, has reported a 25 per cent increase in visitor ticket sales from 2018-2019 with 26,321 total visitors, making it the largest National Pet Show to date.
The event regularly attracts over 200 exhibitors , in addition to sponsors within the pet industry as well as visitors from all over the UK.
The show’s main aim is to provide attendees with information on various pet species and breeds by showcasing features such as educational talks from industry experts, as well as hands-on animal demonstrations, and 2019’s show was no different, with 120 cat and dog breeds available for guests to meet in addition to special guests such as Michaela Strachan, Noel Fitzpatrick, Rory Cowlam, James Bowan and A Street Cat Named Bob.
For the past four years the event has made pet insurance brands its key headline partners, in order to promote responsible pet ownership and animal welfare. This year’s sponsors included Petsurance, from the PDSA, which helps over 470,000 pets each year.
