Leeds business tourism leaders descended on London this week to promote its exhibition, conference and events locations at the Chelsea Flower Show.
‘Leeds in London’, organised by Marketing Leeds, saw 40 London-based buyers for the likes of Deloitte, HSBC and Starbucks meet with representatives of Leeds’ conference venues including Leeds United FC, Royal Armouries and Well Met Conferencing.
“It was good to meet London buyers on their home soil, and the Leeds garden at Chelsea proved a big pull,” says manager of conference Leeds, Nicola Lockwood.
“After building our reputation as a destination for conference, exhibition and events, we see events like ‘Leeds in London’ as key to its further development,” adds CEO of Marketing Leeds, Deborah Green. “It’s imperative we keep growing our relationships with key buyers and business tourism media,” she adds.
