Faversham House appoints subscriptions expert Andy Baker as non-executive director

B2B specialist media company Faversham House Ltd has appointed Andy Baker as a non-executive director with immediate effect.

Faversham House’s chief executive Amanda Barnes said: “Andy’s years of experience delivering data-led products chimes well with our direction of travel. I am sure his experience of driving change and building on premium B2B brands will enhance our own capabilities. We’re excited he’s agreed to join the board and help us with the next stage of our development and I’m very much looking forward to working with him.”

Baker said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Faversham House team. Faversham House has come through Covid-19 and lockdown in healthy shape and is now poised to accelerate the development of its brands and portfolio. I am looking forward to learning from the team and contributing my experience of B2B business models and leading change.”

Baker was previously managing director of The Lawyer 2017-2021, and a member of Centaur Plc’s executive committee. He led the development of The Lawyer into a market-leading subscription and information business. He spent six years as managing director of HSJ, the Health Service Journal, leading it from an advertising to subscriptions-based model. He also  the sale of HSJ from Ascential plc to Wilmington plc for £19m in early 2017.

Faversham House Ltd is an independent B2B media company based in East Grinstead, West Sussex. It’s portfolio includes digital information and insight, digital and in person exhibitions, conferences, and events with its brands edie (sustainability), Utility Week (utilities), and Sign & Digital UK (visual communications).
