Expo Stars selected by Department for International Trade

Expo Stars has been selected as one of 20 companies to go on a tour to visit businesses in Thailand and Indonesia, organised by the Department for International Trade.

Expo Stars’ managing director Lee Ali will get the opportunity to research potential client opportunities and growth for his company, which focuses on face-to-face, live and experiential marketing.

The trade mission to Thailand and Indonesia targets businesses that are experienced in exporting and are based in the Northern Powerhouse (NPH) region. It offers an opportunity to these business owners to explore new markets in infrastructure, transportation, services and education. The visit will coincide with activities ahead of the ASEAN Thailand 2019 in an attempt to increase opportunities for NPH businesses.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) comprises of 10 markets in an area of the world that has the potential for opportunities for UK businesses. Southeast Asia’s is predicted to the world’s 4th largest single market after the EU, US and China, as well as having an economy that surpasses Japan’s by 2030. Businesses are attracted to the steady growth combined with investor-friendly government policies. As of this year, 17.6% of all ASEAN’s EU trade in goods and services is with the UK.
