Mark Allen Group, the organiser of the 2017 Engineering Design Show (EDS), has announced that all exhibitor stands for this year’s event have been allocated and visitor registration is now open. The event is deemed the UK’s largest exhibition and conference entirely dedicated to the design engineering community.
Launched in 2012, this year’s edition returns to the Ericsson Exhibition Hall, Ricoh Arena, Coventry, and is scheduled to run from 18-19 October. The show will comprise 220 exhibitors and the organiser said 4,000 visitors are anticipated across the two days.
Nicki Jackson, event director for the Engineering Design Show, said: “The packed exhibition hall will feature the latest technologies, materials, tools, software and services enabling visitors to source products and review supply chains. The exhibition hall also features three workshop theatres, where delegates can explore new design solutions and discuss the trends driving design engineering forward.”
The EDS 2017 combines the Engineering, Electronics and Embedded Design Shows. The show’s Future Zone is set to capture visitors’ imagination this year with hands-on demonstrations of cutting-edge tools such as desktop Virtual Reality engineering design systems from Lenovo, as well as 3D PCB printing.
The EDS conference will once again offer 24 keynote presentations brought together by the editors of New Electronics and Eureka magazines, offering insight and debate.
“The Ricoh Arena’s events team have helped the show’s organisers to develop and grow the event every year since its creation back in 2012, to the point where hundreds of exhibitors are presenting to thousands of visitors,” commented Caroline Lissaman, head of event management at Ricoh Arena.
“Shows like this help to reinforce Coventry’s position as one of the key players in the manufacturing and engineering industry, and we look forward to growing the show further in the future,” she concluded.
Highlights for 2017 include BAE Systems, Tharsus, PTC, the UK Space Agency, NXP and Lenovo. The full conference agenda will be released shortly.
