East of England Arena to host Buses Festival

by Cameron Roberts

Buses Festival opens on 8 August at the East of England Arena and Events Centre.

The show, organised by the Buses magazine team at Key Publishing, will feature a display of up to 80 vintage, restored and modern buses and coaches from up and down the UK. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take bus rides over local routes. There will also be numerous trade stands for visitors to browse, selling models, collectables and photographs.

Jason Lunn, venue director at the East of England Arena commented, “We are delighted to welcome Buses Festival to the venue for the first time. Automotive events of all kinds are ideally suited to the space and layout we have here at the venue.”

“We have all taken a trip on a bus or coach at some time in the past, this is a great opportunity for visitors to relive some of those memories – commuter journeys, day trips and school outings, buses have been an intrinsic part of our lives,” he added.
