The 61st CWM FX London Boat Show drew to a close on 18 January with a host of famous faces among the 92,288 visitors at Excel London.
HRH The Princess Royal, Sir Ben Ainslie, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and singer Nicole Scherzinger visited during the nine-day show. Paralympic gold medallist Helena Lucas joined former weather presenter Penny Tranter at The Datatag Lab, while Michael Buerk, Nick Knowles, Rupert Grint also made an appearance.
More than 400 exhibitors showcased their products and services, celebrating pioneers, adventurers and innovators. Over 300 boats were on display at the show including the BAR’s Nacra used in Ainslie’s training and the new Scorpion support chase boat.
The show also hosted world firsts from across the marine industry including 77 debut boats, such as the Dauntless Oyster 500.
“We have enjoyed a world-class show with many of the world’s best brands from the marine industry,” said Murray Ellis, managing director of the CWM FX London Boat Show. “Visitor feedback has been really positive, the new creative giving the show a strong identity has been very well received, there’s been positive energy creating a fantastic atmosphere which have contributed to good sales.”
