Bellavita launches International Foodservice Week

by Saul Leese

One of the UK’s leading exhibition organisers, showcasing artisan food from Italy and Spain, has announced its plan to launch International Foodservice Week for the food and beverage industry.

The new event (date to be announced but expected in 2020) will help stakeholders across the industry to understand the changing consumer behaviours. The event will be staged in London in 2021, with the aim to establish London as the place to launch hand-crafted food and beverage.

Bellavita, MD, Aldo Mazzocco, said: “London is rarely seen as a leading destination to launch international food. We specialise in bringing Italian and Spanish artisan food to our events globally but I want to create a platform for international markets to come here, like London Design Festival or London Fashion Week. I want to create a place where these markets can congregate and discuss how consumer behaviour is changing and where they can exchange ideas.”

The company intends to develop this proposition further by creating a strong lineup of healthy Mediterranean foods, with information about food sources in an attempt to address the growing demand by consumers for healthier and sustainable food.

Bellavita is a leading Mediterranean food and beverage trade show in collaboration with Iberica Expo (a UK based event organiser promoting Made in Spain ) and has nine trade shows in London, Amsterdam, Toronto, Warsaw, Hamburg, Chicago, Guangzhou and Mexico City.
