Grand Designs Live returns to ExCeL alongside debut of Green Living

Media 10’s Grand Designs Live returned to London ExCeL this month for the first time since 2019 to run alongside the inaugural sustainability event, Green Living Live.

Welcoming more than 76,000 visitors, the show, which ran from 30 April–8 May, was again hosted by Grand Designs TV presenter Kevin McCloud (pictured). It featured hundreds of brands, trends, latest technologies and designs across the five main sectors of the show: Build, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Gardens and Interiors.

The show’s Grand Theatre hosted several talks and panel discussions covering home, interior, custom and self-build topics including extensions and sustainability in the building industry. Alongside McCloud, property expert, writer and broadcaster Kunle Barker also hosted the stage across the nine days. Daily talks included ‘Meet The Grand Designers’, which saw different home owners from past and present series of the TV show.

Richard Morey, Director of Media 10, said at the show: “The content we have featured at this show has also reflected the change in our visitor’s priorities, not only do they want to hear about designs, but they want to know how to reduce carbon footprints, reduce energy costs and their negative impact on the world.”

The standalone event, Green Living Live, was dedicated to bringing innovative and new developments in sustainability to visitors with an insight into eco-friendly products and services.

Morey added: “Green Living Live has been a huge success, proving our visitors are more and more interested in creating a sustainable way of living.  Showcasing vital innovation to support the move with products and advice for building, renovating, and living in greener homes, the event has successfully raised the profile of eco-living.

Media 10 will be bringing Green Living Live to the NEC from 5-9 October to run alongside the next edition on Grand Designs Live.
