15% exhibitor growth for Scotland’s Trade Fair

by EN

Scotland’s Trade Fair, which took place on 24-26 January at the SECC, is celebrating increased attendance and a growth in exhibitors.
After an unpredictable 2015, show organisers Springboard Events have been heartened by the 8.4 per cent growth in attendance figures and 15 per cent growth in exhibitors.
A popular part of the show was the range of workshops and seminars providing tips on social media, merchandising and PR for exhibitors. The Best Product Awards were held during the event and judged by three leading Scottish retails.
The new addition of the Craft Gallery also helped expand the range of products on offer and helped increase attendance at the event.
Mark Saunders, director of Scotland’s Trade Fairs, said: “We have been pleasantly surprised by the success of this Show in what are still turbulent economic times. It is encouraging to see so many successful independent shops expanding and doing well, principally because they are marketing savvy, price conscious and are keeping ahead of the market in how they do business and what the offer. Equally the highly successful exhibitors are the ones doing exactly the same thing and who aren’t afraid of change.”
