PLASA Show 2021 is on track to welcome thousands of industry professionals to Olympia London, from 5-7 September, with the first three weeks of registration exceeding that of the 2019 edition.
The 53% increase from its “busiest show in years” also sees a greater number of industry professionals and company owners.
Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on Monday, 12 July, that confirmed lockdown restrictions will be lifted from 19 July, PLASA said visitor registration has continued to surge.
As for visitor demographics at this year’s show, PLASA said 45% are final decision-makers, which is a 5% increase from 2019, and a further 20% have the power to specify purchases, which is another increase. One in four are able to spend between £100,000 and £2,000,000.
The expanded show floor in Olympia’s largest space, the Grand Hall, will feature directors, chairs and company owners, which are the top registered job roles so far. This is followed by designers, technicians, engineers, project mangers and consultants. The majority of visitors hail from theatre, concert touring and live events.
The PLASA Awards for Innovation, which are only open to exhibitors, will see every nominee feature on the popular Innovation Gallery during the show. There will also be a year-round virtual Innovation Gallery on the PLASA Show website.
