Positive results for Pizza and Pasta show

European Pizza and Pasta Show 2017

The European Pizza and Pasta Show, a B2B event organised by IPR Events, has reported a rise in both visitors and exhibitors for its second year.

The event, which took place on 15-16 November at Olympia London, hosted around 140 companies showing over 600 food and beverage brands to 4,771 pre-registered industry buyers and experts.

IPR put on the event in partnership with PAPA, the Pizza, Pasta and Italian Food Association, and marked the association’s 40th year. The show was opened by Rt Hon George Eustice, Minister of State at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).

Show features

This year, the show hosted three major competitions, an international food and beverage conference and over 20  industry seminars featuring competitors and speakers from the industry-leading stakeholders.

The event also featured a showcase of 30 leading craft beer, gin and cider producers, organised by SIBA and Food and Drinks Wales. “Although limited in size, the Craft Beer Experience Theatre was a popular stand for visitors, with some of the best craft beer experts sharing their knowledge with the industry,” the organiser commented.

The European Pizza and Pasta Show 2017 was the home for the world leading brands in pizza and pasta industries – from equipment and ingredients, to the final product and services. Sponsor partners included Pizza Mia (a Kiren Food brand), Jestic, E & J Gallo, Palatina (presented by Ornua), Surgiva, San Felice Flour and GI Metal.

“With an industry worth over £10 bln in the UK alone, the show has now established itself as one of the most important business meetings in the UK calendar and European pizza-makers, producers and buyers alike,” IPR said.

The 2018 European Pizza and Pasta Show will be held on the 14-15 November at Olympia National Hall.
