National Railway Museum adds to events team ahead of Christmas period

by Olivia Powell

The National Railway Museum have recently introduced their new Christmas package for 2019. Updates include the introduction of the 14-piece band Kudos, who will provide music for their series of bespoke Christmas parties hosted at the museum.

Ahead of this, they have added two new corporate sales executives to their events team; Sarah Marshall and Nicole Carter.

Both have experience in events management, with Sarah having a degree in Events Management, and having worked at an events agency and theatres in both York and Sheffield, and Nicole having a position in meetings and events for two years.

Their responsibilities will include not only selling of the National Railway Museum’s event spaces, but also those in the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford. They will also be undertaking show-rounds and liaising with clients alongside assisting with online marketing of the venues.

The pair have already begun promoting the festive activities around York.

Event sales manager at the National Railway Museum Helen Beresford-Boyse commented: “We are thrilled to have Sarah and Nicole on the team – both have not only great industry experience but real enthusiasm and genuine passion for the museum and its capabilities. As we gear up for the Christmas season and look ahead to 2020, we’ve got a great team in place and are excited for things to come!”
