FordFest moves to the East of England Arena

by Nicola Macdonald

FordFest, the annual festival for fans of the Ford marque will relocate to The East of England Arena and Events Centre for its 2019 show, 21-22 September 2019.

Organised by the team behind Fast Ford and Classic Ford magazines, FordFest is now in its fifth year, and has quickly become one of the highlights of the Ford fan’s calendar. A great chance for automotive enthusiasts to interact with the marque, take part in the concours competition, display their own Fords individually or as part of a club, this year it includes the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the famous Ford Capri.

Making use of the indoor and outdoor facilities at the East of England Arena for the first time, FordFest will host car show competitions, many traders and exhibitors and classic and vintage Ford displays, including special displays for the Capri’s 50th and Ford Anglia’s 60th anniversaries.

Fully licensed, the festival includes camping with a quiet zone for families, free hot showers and a permanent cafeteria in addition to a traditional range of festival food outlets. With a huge range of tools, parts and accessories to browse and buy, hundreds of stunning cars on show, and thousands of visitors expected for the two day event, it promises to be a Ford fan’s perfect weekend.

Jason Lunn, venue director, commented: “I’m delighted that FordFest is coming to the East of England Arena, where I hope it will find opportunities to expand and enhance what is already a fantastic family event.”
