ExCeL London reports positive US business findings from Las Vegas event

Members of the ExCeL London team are across the pond this week at the PCMA Convening Leaders (PCMACL) event in Las Vegas, where delegates are said to be reporting a surge in business.

In positive news for the international events community, US agencies are winning new clients on a weekly basis, according to ExCeL London CEO Jeremy Rees (pictured centre), executive director James Rees (left) and head of sales and conferences Andrew Swanston (right).

James Rees said: “It has been so energising to be able to attend Convening Leaders in person this year and to reconnect with so many international industry professionals. Having spent just a few days here it is clear the general consensus is that face-to-face events are coming back…with renewed purpose.

“Speaking with many of the large agencies, they are onboarding new clients on a weekly basis and recruiting quickly to service them.”

Rees added: “Corporate clients are looking at new ways to bring people together, rather than the pre-pandemic cookie-cutter approach. They know and acknowledge that face-to-face events are invaluable and drive stakeholder engagement that drives both economic and sustainable legacy benefits to their organisations.”

PCMACL is currently taking place from 9-12 January at the recently opened 51,000sqm Caesars Forum in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip.

The flagship education and networking event by the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) has returned in-person for the first time in two years.
