Eventprofs to compete against GB cyclist to fundraise for Ukraine

by Emily Wallin

The events industry is being called on to show their support for Ukraine with a cycling challenge.

GB Cycling gold medalist Charlie Tanfield is hosting the latest Legacy 300 VIP Charity Days at Lee Valley Velo Park, In London,  on 17 March.

Riders will compete to ride as close as possible to Tanfield’s lap time – to raise funds for the Distasters Emergency Committee’s (DEC) Ukraine appeal.

Beat the Medallist is simple:

  • The GB Cyclist sets a flying lap time.
  • You set your time.
  • Get time off  bonuses linked to how much you fundraise.

Last week ExpoPlatform founders Tanya Pinchuk and Mykyta Fastovets both originally from Ukraine issued a plea for the events industry to join in solidarity with people under attack from Russian forces, using the hashtag #EventsWithUkraine.

Contact david@legacy300.com to book your place on the Ride for Ukraine. You will need to make a small contribution to cover the cost of track, coaching staff and bike hire.
