The EN Indy Awards, which recognises excellence by independent organisers and teams, has seen an 88% increase in entries following its debut in 2018.
This year’s EN Indy Awards will take place on 11 October at London’s Honourable Artillery Company, and the final shortlist will be revealed tomorrow.
The event offers a chance for smaller companies within the exhibitions market to receive the recognition they sometimes do not receive when facing large, corporate organisers.
EN portfolio director Duncan Siegle said: “The 88% increase in entries is a sign that independent organisers have embraced the EN Indy Awards.
“There are more and more independent organisers all the time, either being created from larger companies, or ones who realise they have a community and are investing in exhibitions. This is where energy and creativity thrive, and these awards allow smaller organisers to compete on a level playing field away from the larger PLCs.
“The fact that so many companies have asked to sponsor the event also shows the importance independent organisers have within the exhibition industry.”
This year, sponsors for the EN Indy Awards are:
Headline – The NEC, Circdata, BeMatrix, Priority Exhibitions
Strategic Partner – Mayfield Merger Strategies
Event sponsors – Creative Hire, NAEC Stoneleigh, Freeman Digital, The Barista, Evolution Dome, Exhibition Centre Liverpool, Showlite, The SEC
