Easyfairs has had a busy couple of weeks. On 22 July, the company announced that it will be launching a US edition of the UK’s Digital Accountancy Show in May 2027. Last Friday 31 July, the organiser stated it will be launching a new trade show series ‘all about electronic solutions’, debuting in Germany. Then, earlier today it was announced that Easyfairs had acquired fellow European organiser Xpo Group.
Now, the company has another move to announce – it has acquired The AI Conference in San Francisco, an applied AI event held in San Francisco. This latest purchase marks the company’s second acquisition and fourth event in the US.
The AI Conference launched in 2023, and expects to attract 5,500 attendees in this year’s 2026 edition, which is scheduled for Sept 31 – Oct 1. 120 speakers have already been announced. Easyfairs reports that “The AI Conference focuses on applied AI: how artificial intelligence systems are built, deployed, governed and scaled in real-world environments.” The event will open with Day ZERØ, a pre-conference day for senior AI leaders, followed by two days of five-track programming, keynotes, the Startup Showdown and an Innovation Hub.
Matt Benyon, CEO of Easyfairs, said: “This is our second acquisition and fourth event in the USA, fully aligned with our strategy of building a high-growth position in the United States through launches in niche industry sectors and the acquisition of established top-quality events.
The latest addition to the Easyfairs US portfolio
This new addition to the Easyfairs US portfolio comes after the company launched Coiltech North America in June 2025, and acquired the Energy Projects Conference & Expo in December 2025. And of course the company is set to launch the Digital Accountancy Show US next year. Easyfairs also states that it “has further US launch and acquisition projects in the pipeline”.
The AI Conference was advised on the transaction by CapM.
“We are especially excited to acquire The AI Conference. Artificial intelligence speaks directly to our company slogan and mission statement, ‘Visit the Future’.”
Shon Burton, founder and CEO of The AI Conference, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Easyfairs as we expand The AI Conference in San Francisco and beyond … We’re grateful to play a small part in shaping the future of AI by bringing technologists and leaders together to collaborate. Demand for that collaboration has never been greater and Easyfairs gives us the reach and resources to meet it.”
