EUROPE – UK exhibition industry body the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) has launched a petition off the back of Earls Court’s involvement in the London 2012 Olympic games to stop the demolition of the capital’s  historical exhibition centres. The e-petition, which went live on 1 September, requests the planning application for redevelopment of the site into more than 7,500 homes to be ‘called in’ for public inquiry.
