Event organiser Ocean Media Group has announced that this year’s edition of The Flooring Show exceeded pre-pandemic visitor numbers, attracting 3,160 buyers over the three days of the exhibition.

The event, which took place at the Harrogate Convention Centre from 17-19 September, saw an increase in visitors from all regions of the UK. The exhibition saw an 85% increase in visitors from the East of England, as well as a 49% rise in visitors from the South East, South West and West Midlands.

There was also a 13% increase in the number of suppliers exhibiting at The Flooring Show, with 75% already choosing to rebook their involvement for the following year. Organisers said they will open Hall Q which will allow next year’s show to grow by a further 20%.

This year’s event hosted buyers from a lineup of national and independent retailers, including Tapi, Carpetright, Wickes, ScS, and B&Q.

The Flooring Show event director Alex Butler said: “This year’s high rebook is testament to how well The Flooring Show performs for the industry, with the average exhibitor expecting to take orders of £155,000 as a result of the exhibition.”

The Flooring Show returns to Harrogate from 15-17 September 2024.
