The Short Stay Show, an event for the hospitality and accommodation industry, will be launching at ExCeL London on 14 March 2019.
The new show comes from Quartz Smart Events, the team behind the Be My Guest roadshow for accommodation providers, co-founded by Jim Curry and Diane Lloyd.
The Short Stay Show will bring together ‘entrepreneurs, technologists, national and local government representatives, property specialists, innovators and radical companies’ looking for inspiration and opportunity in the world of short-term accommodation.
It will include a premium-access conference with keynote speakers and UK government representatives, a marketplace with products and services for the sector, two seminar stages and a central networking area.
It expects to attract around 1,000 delegates and 50 exhibitors.
It will be delivered in partnership with the Short Term Accommodation Association (STAA).
Short Stay Show co-founder Curry said: “A progressive sector needs a progressive event and that is exactly what we are building in partnership with the STAA. Our intention is to build an annual flagship event for the industry that will act as a soap box, a beacon and a meeting ground for the entire ecosystem and its wider stakeholders.
“We already have significant backing from the leading international and UK companies and are shaping an event that will be a powerful representative of the industry. We will be announcing the partnerships in the next month.”
Shomik Panda, STAA Director General, added: “We are delighted to be involved with such an exciting and ground-breaking event for our industry. Our Association was founded not only to drive up industry standards but also to bring the industry together to share best practice and achieve better outcomes for hosts, guests, local communities and businesses.
“By assembling so many stakeholders from all over the industry under one roof, we hope this annual event will help us to achieve these goals and quickly become the ‘go to’ event for all participants in the UK short stay economy.”
