Decorex has announced its 2026 Design Talks programme, bringing together more than 100 speakers across four days at Olympia London, from 11-14 October.
The programme covers topics from sustainable design to building a design brand, with sessions split between the Talks Theatre and a returning Sustainability Space focused on responsible design, from local materials to indoor air quality. Confirmed speakers include designers Linda Boronkay, Suzy Hoodless and Patrick Williams, alongside BIID president elect Anna Burles.
Sam Fisher, event director at Decorex, said: “Design Talks exists to give our visitors something they can take straight back to their clients, not just inspiration but insights they can act on. We have an impressive roster of speakers this year, many who are industry pioneers bringing with them a wealth of experience, alongside newer names in the industry who we can see establishing themselves as creative visionaries.”
Among the sessions, Nicola Harding and Joanna Draper will discuss building a design practice from solo work to a full studio, in a talk marking the launch of Create Academy’s new professional development course.
A separate panel will examine how designers can use storytelling and craft to create emotional connection with clients, while another, hosted by The Interior Design Business podcast’s Jeff Hayward, looks at the often invisible skill behind finished interior schemes.
Other sessions cover scaling a design practice without losing creative identity, designing members’ clubs that blend residential and hospitality design, and how the industry can better communicate the value of professional design work. Design Circles, a roundtable-format series introduced in 2025, returns with topics including interior styling, wellbeing and smart home design.
Recordings of the full programme will be available on-demand, included with VIP tickets or available as a £25 + VAT add-on for other ticket types.
