Nineteen Group has bought Blueprint Event Company, the Hove-based organiser of the Lubricant Expo shows in Europe, the Middle East and North America.

Blueprint, registered as Blueprint Exhibitions and Conferences Ltd, was set up in 2020 and runs trade shows and conferences for the industrial technology, lubricants, bearings and advanced manufacturing sectors. Nineteen Group has not disclosed what it paid.

The business will become part of Nineteen Group’s manufacturing and asset management portfolio. It will stay at its headquarters in Hove, East Sussex, and its current team will carry on working on its upcoming events.

Alison Jackson, CEO of Nineteen Group, said Blueprint’s co-CEOs, Anthony Roberts and Paul Hooker, and their team had “built an impressive portfolio, one which is a natural fit with Nineteen’s growing line-up of global events”.

Finding the right partner

Paul Hooker, co-CEO of Blueprint Event Company, said Nineteen Group’s “expertise and resources” would help the business “develop our shows and deliver even more for our exhibitors, visitors, and partners”.

Anthony Roberts, co-CEO of Blueprint Event Company, said: “Over the past six years, we’ve worked incredibly hard to build Blueprint Event Company into the business it is today, so finding the right partner was always going to be important to us.”

Anthony Roberts also thanked Mayfield, Lee & Thompson and Parisi for their support on the deal.

Nineteen Group, which is headquartered in Wimbledon, London, runs more than 50 events across 17 sectors, including the built environment, safety and security, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, and finance and payments. It also has offices in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and the US.
