Lyndon Baptiste, Co-Founder of exhibition marketplace provider FFair, on why he’ll be heading to International Confex at ExCeL London.
It’s just under a month until International Confex comes to ExCeL London for the first time. We’re excited to head along to the show, see how it’s settling into its new home and check out everything the event has to offer.
This will be one of of FFair’s first industry outings as a new business and we can’t think of a better place to meet the who’s who of the exhibition industry, all under one roof, and shout about our online marketplace.
Here are just some of the reasons we’ll be attending the show:
Where better to hear some of the true trailblazers and innovating in the events industry discussing the pressing issues we face? Whether it’s sustainability, mental health & wellbeing, visitor experience or exciting new tech, we can’t wait to sit in on some interesting sessions across the two days of the show.
International Confex doesn’t just bring a diverse range of industry figures together in one room, the show is also great at providing opportunities for those people to meet and have genuine, meaningful interactions. Whether it’s the Event Entrepreneurs Club, Women in Exhibitions, the Delegate Wranglers or Speed Networking – there’s something for everyone. For us at FFair it’s especially exciting to be part of the endlessly clever and creative event tech community and see how we can better integrate into the event life cycle.
Trade shows are always a hub of innovation and we can’t wait to see what the show’s exhibitors will have on offer. Each sector within the exhibition industry is constantly breaking down barriers, experimenting and evolving and it all comes together at Confex. It’s fantastic that the show is giving smaller businesses and startups the chance to get in front of potential buyers and investors with initiatives like EventTech Dragon’s Den.
An important addition to networking! Confex is not only a great place to network from a business point of view, it’s a chance to meet genuinely smart, hardworking and inspirational people and to get a timely reminder that exhibitions is an industry that knows the true meaning of “work hard, play hard”. In an industry full of small businesses and freelancers it’s a great chance to expand your social network in the industry and to see its true size and scale.
International Confex takes place alongside the Event Production Show and the PA Show, which gives visitors and exhibitors access to an even wider network of event professionals including corporate event books, festival organisers and live events agencies. We can’t wait to check out a new addition to the Event Production Show: the immersive “Festival Live” experience which will be giving festival suppliers a chance to show what they can really do.
International Confex, the Event Production Show and the PA Show take place from 25-26 February at ExCeL London – register here.
