Cake and Bake International, a cake decorating, sugar art and baking event, will return to the NEC Birmingham from 6-8 November, bringing together cake artists, bakers and chocolatiers alongside a competition and marketplace of baking supplies.
Among this year’s attractions is a life-size cake sculpture of the Prince and Princess of Wales, created by sugar artist Emma Jayne Cake Design.
The show will also feature Curse of the Pirate Queen, a large-scale sugar art installation built by a group of international cake artists depicting a pirate-themed scene.
The Cake and Bake International competition, one of the show’s main draws, has attracted more than 1,000 entries this year from artists in over 35 countries, including Australia, competing across categories for the show’s “Best in Show” title. More than 25,000 visitors are expected across the three days.
The show is headline sponsored by Renshaw and Neilsen Massey, with Renshaw also sponsoring the Cake and Bake International Awards and Neilsen Massey backing the Best in Show competition prize.
Further support comes from Rainbow Dust & Squires Kitchen, The Cake Decorating Co and The Vanilla Valley.
