Oxford-based tech start-up Super Benji has launched an AI-powered sales platform designed to help event organisers secure sponsors, exhibitors and speakers.
The company said the platform has been tested with more than 300 clients during a two-year beta programme. Among them was Informa, one of the world’s largest exhibition and events organisers.
Super Benji is targeting a growing challenge for event businesses: the rising cost of acquiring new customers and commercial partners. The platform uses AI to help sales and marketing teams identify prospects and run targeted outreach campaigns.
According to the company, the system is designed to improve sponsor and exhibitor conversion rates and generate sales opportunities without increasing headcount.
The launch comes as organisers across the events sector look for ways to use AI beyond content creation and event operations, with growing interest in tools that support commercial growth and lead generation.
Jeremy Basset, founder of Super Benji, said: “It’s time we celebrate salespeople, support them, and equip them with the tools they need to restore growth to our businesses and our economy.”
The company said its approach focuses on smaller volumes of highly targeted outreach rather than mass marketing campaigns.
Basset added: “We’re taking that relationship-led approach and turning it into a system that performs consistently at scale. People still buy from people, and the highest-performing sales happen within trusted relationships.”
Carola Fiameni, senior marketing manager at Informa, said: “Super Benji has genuinely transformed the way we run campaigns at Informa and consistently outperforms traditional channels.”
