The RX-organised energy expo, SPE Offshore Europe (OE) has appointed a new team to deliver the biennial event at P&J Live in Aberdeen next year.

David Ince (pictured) has been appointed exhibition director and Michael Enser is the new marketing manager. Both men will also continue to run Oceanology International in London, which will next take place in March 2026.

Ince has been at RX Global for 11 years and worked on OE from 2013-2016. He’s also run the SPE Intelligent Energy and Arctic & Extreme Environment events.

Meanwhile, a former OE exhibition director, Gareth Rapley has taken over from Jonathan Heastie as Energy & Marine portfolio director, responsible for All-Energy and Oceanology International, as well as OE.

Heastie has moved to oversee RX Global’s recently acquired portfolio of worldwide hydrogen events.

Rapley worked on OE for nine years before spending three years in the Middle East with dmg events and Informa Markets. He returned to London as director of The London Book Fair.

He said: ““It is an exciting and challenging time to be rejoining the energy industry. SPE Offshore Europe, All-Energy and Oceanology International combine to represent many facets of the energy and marine industries. These are valuable national assets that need to be secured and developed to continue to deliver for the UK and our events provide very successful platforms to further these aims.”

Around 30,000 people and 800 exhibitors attended the 50th anniversary edition of SPE Offshore Europe in 2023. Next year’s event will take place from 2-5 September.
