RX today announced the appointment of Alison Powell as its first global chief marketing officer (CMO). It is a newly created role.
Powell brings more than two decades of senior global marketing leadership experience across organisations including Elsevier, BP, AstraZeneca, and Kellogg’s, spanning both B2B and B2C environments. She joins RX from Elsevier Health, where she currently serves as chief marketing officer, leading a global organisation of more than 190 marketers across international markets.

All Business Unit Hub marketing leaders will report to her and she will report directly to CEO Hugh Jones. She will join the Executive Leadership Team.
Commenting on the appointment, Hugh Jones said: “I am delighted to welcome Alison to RX. Her deep global experience, her proven track record of driving transformational marketing performance, and her passion for customer-focused innovation make her the ideal leader to help accelerate our growth. Alison brings exactly the capabilities we need as we strengthen our marketing foundations and build for the future.”
