London-based event technology rental specialist One World is setting its sights on the wider enterprise technology market with the launch of One World Group, a new overarching structure designed to bring its growing portfolio of technology and service businesses together under one global proposition. The move represents a significant evolution for the company, which has spent the past 16 years building its reputation as a global technology rental specialist supporting events and organisations internationally.

Under One World Group, that capability is being expanded into a broader model with a strategy intended to move One World beyond individual technology transactions and towards larger, longer-term relationships where multiple services can be delivered through one organisation.

The traditional rental business remains central to the Group, but it now says it sees substantial opportunity in managed services, Device as a Service, technology lifecycle management and enterprise technology deployments, where organisations increasingly require partners capable of taking responsibility for more of their technology operations. That could mean procuring and supplying hardware through sale, rental or lease; managing a customer’s existing device estate; providing the people required to deploy and support it; developing supporting digital platforms; and managing logistics, print and other operational requirements.

“For customers, the proposition is designed to reduce the number of suppliers involved while creating greater accountability across the delivery of increasingly complex technology projects,” the company says.

One World’s specialist capabilities are now together under a common Group structure while allowing its individual businesses and brands to retain their own identities and areas of expertise under a ‘One Ecosystem. Multiple Solutions. Global Delivery’ concept.

Kashif Din, founder and CEO of One World Group, says: “Rental has given us an incredible foundation, but the capabilities we’ve built over 16 years now extend far beyond renting technology.

“We have the infrastructure, international operations, technology fleet, specialist teams and systems to take responsibility for much more of a customer’s technology requirement.

“Our ambition is not simply to supply more devices. It’s to solve bigger technology and operational challenges. That could mean managing thousands of customer-owned devices, delivering technology across an international estate, providing the people and logistics behind it, or bringing several One World businesses together to deliver one enterprise solution.

“That is why One World Group is an important step for us. It reflects the business we have become and, more importantly, the business we intend to build.”

The strategy is expected to create opportunities internally too, with the expansion of the Group requiring additional specialists and leadership across technology, digital, operations, logistics, staffing and commercial functions.
