Olympia Events has confirmed that AnimeCon UK will launch a London edition at Olympia on 3–4 October 2026.
The event will take place in Olympia’s Grand Hall following the redevelopment of the venue into a mixed-use destination for events, hospitality and business. Olympia’s redevelopment includes updates to its heritage halls, the addition of a new international convention centre and expanded hospitality and transport infrastructure.
AnimeCon UK has previously been held at the NEC Birmingham and Manchester Central. Organisers said the London edition represents the event’s expansion into a central location.
The convention focuses on anime, manga and Asian pop culture and is expected to include an exhibitor area, creator showcases and fan-led programming. The show floor will include more than 200 vendors and an Artist Alley featuring independent creators.
Programming is set to include live content, performances, fan engagement areas and community-led activities.
“AnimeCon UK is a fun and engaging celebration of this enthusiastic community and it showcases the growing worldwide influence of anime and manga.” said Clive Nørgaard Morton, group director for Oakham Group, said: Launching at the revitalised Olympia allows us to create an unforgettable experience at scale in central London. Olympia’s redevelopment adding on-site dining, hotels and evening entertainment all adds to the buzz and makes it the perfect fit for the show!”
Andy O’Sullivan, CEO at Olympia Events, said: “The event is a great example of how our spaces can support large-scale, experience-led formats that combine content, community and commerce, all within a highly connected city location. We’re excited to see it come to life later this year.”
