The Ideal Home Show Scotland will debut a dedicated Money Village at its May 2026 event, following visitor demand for practical financial guidance.
The initiative, created in partnership with financial educator MoneyMatiX, will feature dozens of exhibitors, an education stage, and workshops covering topics including pensions, investing, tax, and budgeting. Sessions will run across all four days of the show at the SEC, Glasgow, from 22-25 May.
Show organisers are limiting participation to two exhibitors per financial category – including wealth planning, mortgage brokerage, consumer insurance, and banking – on a first-come, first-served basis. Exhibitor packages start at £3,695 plus VAT for a 9 sqm booth.
Show director Darren Brechin said the Money Village addresses feedback from visitors navigating the cost-of-living crisis. “People want practical, trustworthy advice about managing their money, and this space will provide exactly that,” he said.
With over 31,000 attendees, predominantly from an ABC1 demographic, Brechin highlighted the opportunity for exhibitors. “It’s a powerful platform for lead generation, brand visibility, and trust-building through face-to-face engagement,” he said.
Legacy planning firm Aria Legal has signed up as the first exhibitor. Chief executive Angela Rancon said last year’s show was “hugely rewarding – but profitable too.”
Organisers will also offer scheduled appointments, allowing visitors to book one-to-one consultations with exhibitors in advance. The show is seeking a headline sponsor for the Money Village.
Tynah Matembe, founder of MoneyMatiX, said: “The Money Village will give thousands of people the chance to learn, ask questions, and leave the show with actionable knowledge that can make a real difference in their lives.”
