CEO of Event Flag hire Klare Stratton tells Exhibition News why it’s crucial to exhibit at International Confex 2025.

As part of our series leading up to International Confex 2025, we’re excited to feature Event Flag Hire, who will be exhibiting for the first time at the Event Production Show (co-located with International Confex). The Event Production Show (EPS), dedicated to the live event industry, is the longest-running event for professionals managing outdoor and live events.

In this interview, CEO and founder Klare Stratton shares why they’ve chosen this event as a key platform and what makes this year’s exhibition particularly exciting.

Event Flag Hire, founded in 1999, specialises in custom flags for festivals, corporate events, and special projects. Known for its creativity and commitment to quality, the company has become a leader in the industry. What started as a hobby for Klare has grown into a successful business, with clients ranging from music festivals like We Out Here and Big Feastival to major brands like Nando’s, Sky TV, and even TV shows like Bake Off.

What’s your USP?

We go beyond traditional flag-making. Flags are not just accessories – they are powerful branding tools that elevate visual impact at any event, big or small. We specialise in creating striking, custom flags that turn ordinary spaces into unforgettable experiences, making them an essential part of event design and branding.

How did you hear about Confex and EPS? 

I was contacted via email about Confex and EPS, and after reviewing the details, I realised it would be a fantastic opportunity to combine business with pleasure. I’m looking forward to spending a couple of days in London with my husband while attending the event!

How does it feel to be taking part in your first Confex and EPS?

Taking part in our first Confex/EPS feels like a celebration of our business and all we’ve achieved. I’m incredibly grateful that, after 24 years, we’re still going strong, especially when so many other events companies are facing challenges and having to let people go. It’s the perfect time of year to kick things into high gear after a period of downtime, and we’re excited to be part of such an important event. 

Who would you love to meet?

I know it may sound biased, but genuinely, most outdoor events can greatly benefit from flags, whether it’s for weddings, festivals or corporate branding. Flags are a fantastic way to create a big impact, so really, anyone involved in running events would be a perfect attendee to meet. We’re always eager to connect with event organisers who could use our products to elevate their event’s visual presence.
