Exhibition Centre Liverpool has demonstrated its capacity to host large multi-venue events after Comic Con Liverpool took place across ACC Liverpool, Exhibition Centre Liverpool and the M&S Bank Arena.

The convention attracted more than 30,000 visitors and continued its progression from a single-hall exhibition into a campus-wide event.

Colm Graham, head of partnerships, hospitality & exhibition sales at Exhibition Centre Liverpool, said the campus-wide layout allows “different elements of an event to coexist perfectly”.

Headline guests included Emilia Clarke, John Cena, Hayley Atwell and Brie Larson. Programming was distributed across the site, enabling organisers to manage visitor flow and support increased attendance, a larger exhibitor presence and simultaneous content formats. The adjoining hotel was used to accommodate visiting talent.

Ticket Quarter, part of the ACC Liverpool Group, managed advance ticketing and attendee communications. The platform also supports ticketing for other Monopoly Events shows in the UK and Europe, including international editions of Comic Con.

Henry Brown, head of ticketing at Ticket Quarter, said: “Comic Con Liverpool is a complex, multi-product event and a perfect demonstration of our ticketing platform’s flexibility. From fast-moving entry ticket sales to premium passes and our new deposit option for autograph packages, our goal was to ensure a smooth, reliable and transparent journey for fans and organisers alike.”
