The Saudi Conventions & Exhibitions General Authority (SCEGA) has announced record growth in the Kingdom’s business events infrastructure, with a 32% year-on-year increase in exhibition space across 923 accredited events venues.

The new figures come from the Authority’s November 2025 event infrastructure snapshot which recorded the investment growth in business and event venues in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives. SCEGA has also reported an exhibition space increase of 320% since 2018 – to 300,520sqm.

SCEGA is also set to host global event leaders at the International MICE Summit (IMS), which takes place in Riyadh, 26-27 November (registration is live at www.internationalmicesummit.com).

Riyadh, Makkah and the Eastern Province accounted for 75% of this event capacity, led by Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center (70,000sqm), the Jeddah Superdome (34,000sqm)  and the Dhahran Expo Center (25,600sqm). Other provinces establishing exhibition centres include Madinah (King Salman International Conference Center), AlUla (Maraya Hall), Asir (King Khalid University Conference Center and Najran (Prince Mishaal Exhibition Center).

Saudi Arabia will showcase its business events capacities and opportunities to more than 2,000 global event leaders at the second edition of IMS later this month.

Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 is set to deliver “a golden decade of events including Expo 2030 and the FIFA World Cup 2034,” said His Excellency Fahd Al-Rasheed (pictured), IMS host and chairman of SCEGA.

“The International MICE Summit will bring together decision-makers from across Saudi Arabia’s provinces including newly established destination management organisations, to collaborate with global event leaders and support Saudi tourism’s 2030 target of welcoming 150m visitors” added Al-Rasheed.

Saudi Arabia achieved its initial 2030 tourism target of 100m visitors seven years ahead of schedule, prompting the target to be revised upward. The Kingdom welcomed 60.9m visitors – both local and international – in the first half of 2025 alone, with total tourism spending hitting $43bn.

The two-day IMS25 programme will feature ministers, private sector CEOs and commercial announcements.
