Rail industry trade show Railtex 2025 has been postponed just two months ahead of its planned return to Birmingham’s NEC on 13–15 May.
Organiser RX confirmed the postponement on 13 March, citing a review of its “rail portfolio strategy”. The event has not been cancelled entirely, and new dates are expected to be announced soon.
Until the pandemic, Railtex alternated annually with Infrarail, which focused on rail infrastructure. The two shows were combined in 2021 (Birmingham) and 2022 (London) before Railtex returned to the NEC in May 2023, where it attracted over 2,600 visitors and 160 exhibitors from 19 countries.
RX has advised attendees and exhibitors to monitor the Railtex website for updates.
“We have been looking into the rail portfolio strategy and come to the decision of not running Railtex in May 2025,” a spokesperson said. “We will communicate new dates as soon as we have them confirmed.”
