FKP Scorpio Entertainment (FKPE) and producer Alegria Exhibition have won four Eventex Awards for Vikings: The Immersive Experience, the touring attraction billed as the UK’s largest immersive Viking exhibition.
The show received Gold awards for Best Set Design and Best Use of Audiovisual, alongside Silver for Best Immersive Experience and Bronze for Best Multisensory Experience.
Founded in 2009, the Eventex Awards recognise event and experience projects across live events, exhibitions and brand activations. The awards have become a regular benchmark for immersive and experiential formats as operators compete to draw audiences with technology-led attractions and large-scale touring productions.
Vikings: The Immersive Experience combines VR, projection mapping, interactive exhibits and live theatrical elements. The attraction follows the story of Viking ruler Ragnar Lodbrok, Queen Kraka and their sons, beginning with a film sequence set in 793 AD before moving through a series of interactive environments.
Dr Nepomuk Schessl of Alegria Exhibition said: “These awards are a tremendous recognition for the entire creative team behind VIKINGS. From the very beginning, our goal was to create an experience that goes far beyond a traditional exhibition something that emotionally transports visitors into the world of the Vikings through storytelling, technology and immersive design.”
Immersive exhibitions remain a growth area for promoters and venue operators, particularly as touring formats offer longer dwell times and repeatable international runs compared with traditional static exhibitions.
