Sweden’s electronics industry will descend on Gothenburg on 17 September, when the Swedish Exhibition & Congress Centre hosts Evertiq Expo Gothenburg, the country’s largest one-day electronics exhibition. The event combines an exhibition area with a conference addressing key challenges facing electronics manufacturers, component suppliers, designers and product development specialists.
Evertiq Expo Gothenburg has run since 2014 and has grown into a key gathering point for the Scandinavian electronics sector. Gothenburg is home to companies including Volvo Group, SKF, Ericsson and Saab Electronic Defence Systems, alongside Chalmers University of Technology and Lindholmen Science Park, both active in electronics research and development.
Conference programme covers circular economy and semiconductors
Running alongside the exhibition, the conference programme will cover topics including the circular economy and component reuse, current trends in the semiconductor market, miniaturisation and precision printed circuit board manufacturing, and challenges in embedded software development. A further session will examine the structure of the Swedish electronics manufacturing services sector, including its concentration and ownership changes.
