Showlite has bought exhibition contractor Xav-Eight for an undisclosed amount.
The acquisition will add around 70 shows to Showlite’s portfolio, including events across mainland Europe.

Xav-Eight’s former owner, Simon Ridout (pictured centre), will join Showlite to oversee the integration of Xav-Eight and drive new business development, leveraging his extensive knowledge and industry connections to enhance Showlite’s services and client offerings.
As a former ESSA (Event Supplier and Services Association) board member, Ridout has over 30-years experience across the exhibitions sector.
He said: “I’m excited by the acquisition and look forward to working with the Showlite team to help expand and grow their portfolio. The culture and values of the two companies are very much aligned and the acquisition will create more opportunities within the whole exhibition industry.”
