The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) has appointed Hannah Peacock as sales manager and Eimear Nelson Nilehn as marketing manager for exhibitions.

The hires come as the Glasgow venue prepares for what it describes as its busiest year to date.

Peacock joins with more than 13 years’ experience in event sales and operations. She has previously worked at hotels and entertainment venues – as well as Glasgow Science Centre, where she spent five years as event sales manager supporting the growth of corporate conferences and events.

She will now focus on building relationships with existing clients and securing new exhibitions and associated events.

Eimear Nelson Nilehn joins with a background as an event organiser and international marketing experience. She previously worked on marketing campaigns for major live events in the specialty coffee sector, supporting exhibitions staged across six continents.

At the SEC, she will lead marketing activity for exhibitions, with a focus on audience development and exhibitor engagement.

The venue says the appointments form part of wider efforts to expand its exhibitions portfolio and support organisers with additional sales and marketing expertise.

Eimear Nelson Nilehn added: “It really is so exciting to be able to bring my international experience to Glasgow. I’m passionate about the role in-person events play in shaping a destination’s reputation, and it’s lovely to be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering exceptional experiences for organisers, exhibitors and visitors.”
