CONNECT, a leading exhibition organiser in Oman, is celebrating 38 years in the business and a 37% increase in revenues in the Sultanate for the past year. It was a year in which net profits surged 152% compared to the previous record set in 2022, underscoring the strength of the Middle East events market.

CONNECT’s growth is rooted in Oman, its impact extends globally and internationally the organiser reports a 190% year-on-year revenue increase, significantly outpacing the global industry average of 17% as highlighted in the UFI 33rd Global Exhibition Barometer 2024.

CONNECT hosted four flagship events in 2024, drawing a total of 62,797 visitors, with attendance figures that, it says, have set new benchmarks.

  • Oman Petroleum & Energy Show (OPES) welcomed 22,160 UFI-audited visits – a 42% increase compared to the previous edition – and showcased 316 exhibitors, marking a 26% growth in participation.
  • Oman Sustainability Week (OSW): Visitor numbers increased by 63%, reflecting the growing global focus on sustainable development and green solutions.
  • Oman Design & Build Week (ODBW): Visitor attendance more than doubled, an 107% increase.

CONNECT’s events have also earned Net Promoter Scores (NPS) exceeding industry standards. According to Explori’s latest assessments:

  • OPES and OSW achieved NPS scores of +43 and +33, respectively, significantly outperforming the industry average of +18.
  • Exhibitors also expressed high levels of satisfaction, with OPES and OSW achieving NPS scores of +29 and +23, compared to an industry average of -5.

Looking ahead, the company’s five-year roadmap projects a revenue increase of 77% and an 81% rise in net profits by 2029.
