To celebrate the life of music legend Prince, AEG Facilities-managed Los Angeles Convention Center has lit its West and South Hall Towers purple.
The L.A. LIVE campus was transformed into a hue of purple as STAPLES Center was lit in purple lights for the LA Kings game against San Jose Sharks.
In addition to numerous GRAMMY Awards appearances, Prince appeared in concert in 2004 at STAPLES Center and made a special appearance at the Los Angeles Convention Center to present Barbra Streisand with the 2011 MusiCares Person of the Year Award.
On 28 March 2009, Prince performed at three separate L.A. LIVE venues in one night, starting at Nokia Theatre (now Microsoft Theater) at 7pm, Conga Room at 9pm and finished the night with a performance at Club Nokia (now The Novo presented by Microsoft) at 12.30am.
